The High Desert Park Clubhouse and ramadas are available to rent for parties, reunions, group meetings, weddings, receptions, anniversaries, RV club dinners, corporate functions, etc. Amenities for groups include picnic tables, grills, baseball field, volleyball court, lighted tennis court, horseshoe pit, playground, and an expansive hiking/walking trail offering spectacular views of the surrounding mountain ranges.
Our full kitchen is inspected yearly by the Yavapai County Health Department. You must furnish your own utensils, plus cooking and serving ware. The building hours are from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Overnight permits are available with kitchen and bathroom facilities for RV groups. Prices are reasonable.
Reservations and a deposit are required, and those using the building will be held responsible for any damages incurred. We book up to a year in advance. No firearms or alcohol are permitted in the park.
High Desert Park in Black Canyon City is accessible from I-17 at exits 242 & 244, about 15 minutes north of Anthem/New River. The elevation is approximately 2000 feet (1000 feet higher than Phoenix), so temperatures are around 10 degrees cooler up here. Enjoy the sunshine, fresh air, and beautiful scenic mountain views! Did You Know…? A great way to view the stars without city lights is to check out the local astronomy clubs and attend one of their observation sessions. One site that the Phoenix Astronomical Society uses frequently is High Desert Park in Black Canyon City.
